How do you juice vegetables with a juicer?
The key to juicing vegetables with a juicer is to chop your vegetables into smaller bits (but not too small) to feed your juicer. You should also make sure your juicer is powerful enough to handle vegetables. Most juicers are but check your product’s manual first.
Can you juice broccoli?
Yes, you can absolutely juice broccoli. Make sure you chop the broccoli into chunks so that it’s easier to feed into your juicer. You will also want to check your juicer’s manual to make sure it is powerful enough to juice broccoli.
Also, you will want to just do a little broccoli as raw broccoli juice on it’s own can cause an upset stomach. Pure broccoli juice is also unpleasant on its own so you’ll want to add some other ingredients to mellow out the flavor. What ingredients are needed to make this carrot and broccoli juice recipe?
For this broccoli juice recipe, you’ll need:
- 1 navel orange
- 2 carrots
- 4 small florets of broccoli
- 1/2 inch of ginger (optional)
You will want to wash and clean your produce very well prior to juicing. The broccoli florets I used were small sized and the ginger was about thumbnail width. The ginger gives this juice a little zest. Sizing down your produce before juicing will also help your juicer run optimally and give you the best quality juice.
